NEW: The week of 12 August 2023 is now available at £1200 for the week

The perfect carp fishing holiday for husband and wife Simon and Jenny who enjoyed our fantastic accommodation and great fishing.

This week we welcomed back Simon and Jenny who have been visiting the venue regularly since 2002! I can’t actually remember how many times they’ve been but we would certainly class them as Beausoleil veterans and what a pleasure it was to welcome them back. They last fished the venue in 2013 and it’s fair to say that they were blown away by the improvements we’ve made since their last visit. Simon and Jenny are a busy professional couple who like nothing better than a relaxing carp fishing holiday. They prefer not to fish the nights but still clock in roughly 12 hours angling per day.

Simon’s an experienced angler who always catches some nice specimens and this year was no exception with carp ranging from 27lbs to 34lbs. Having already landed himself a monster catfish from the lake of 96lbs, Simon chose not to target the cats this year. He still received a couple of pickups though but got smashed both times which is not unusual. Simon uses his own version of my Beausoleil rig and all carp caught fell to double Blue Oyster. All rigs were either cast or boated out using the rowing boat and of course Simon fished for a bite at a time using a scattering of boilies and pellet. Simon was hoping to land one of our elusive 40’s but it wasn’t to be this year. It was so great to see them again and we were delighted that they re-booked for 2016 before they left.
