A sensational carp fishing holiday for Beausoleil venue regulars which included 15 x 30’s up to 37lbs.
This week’s Beausoleil veterans will forever remain special to us as they were our very first clients back in 2011 when we first took over the venue. They’ve been returning ever since and assure me they have no intention of trusting anyone else with their annual carp fishing holiday. Not for the first time, Craig, carp catching machine that he is, did incredibly well with one of the highest number of fish to be landed by one angler in a single week: nineteen fish in total, including 16 carp and eight 30’s. Quite a session! Rather than use a bait boat to drop rigs tight to the margin, Craig cast about a rod length off snake bank and presented single popups on a reverse combi rig in the silt. Baiting strategy was fish for one fish at a time and the use of a throwing stick ensured they moved from bait to bait. More bait was only added after each fish and rigs were moved around to keep the runs coming. Classic tactics, diligently applied, excellent work sir! Not to be out done, Craig’s best mate Chris had twelve carp and finally broke his 30lb carp duck…. five times! He now has a new mirror carp PB of 34lbs 8oz. Superb!
