First 90lb catfish of the year out this week along with 4 x 30’s at our exclusive venue.

This week we welcomed back Andy & Dan who last fished Beausoleil back in 2013. The guys love the venue and the angling challenges it presents and couldn’t wait to do battle with our big carp and catfish. Andy got off to an absolute flyer and was cradling a 65lb catfish just a few hours after arriving! By Tuesday his tally had risen to six including a brace of 30lb + carp. Dan was yet to get off the mark but had been pre-baiting the far side of the island since he arrived which enabled him to pop over the other side and stand a good chance of getting in on the action. Andy moved too so they could enjoy the social and fished from the big double. Andy’s run of form continued with another seven good fish coming his way and Dan banked two PB’s. The guys lost a few fish through mainline failure and hook pulls but took the losses in their stride. Andy did very well to bank one of our real monsters in the form of a 90lb catfish. He also managed a solo lift which takes immense strength! It was great to see them again and we very much look forward to seeing them again in 2016.
