Here at Beausoleil, carp care is our number one priority. Poor fish handling can causes irreparable damage and can lead to unnecessary mortalities. Good fish handling is a skill that has to be learnt and practiced. I was taught how to hold a carp by various professional anglers. I’ve also learnt some techniques from fishery consultants and managers. In this video tutorial I cover everything you need to know about good carp care and handling. By following this advice, you’ll know that you comply with the fishery rules and are doing the best you possibly can for the carp. If you lack the confidence and experience to pick up a carp as I do in this video then the safest thing to do is don’t!
