Great fishing and accommodation make a fantastic carp fishing holiday for this family with 11x 30s banked!
This week it was our pleasure to welcome a group of Beausoleil first timers. The guys had been to France once before and were looking for a lake that provided proper accommodation this time as opposed to a caravan. On the fishing front it’s fair to say Jon stole the show as he landed 15 fish including nine 30’s. These numbers put him in a very select group of carp anglers as one of the top individual catches we’ve ever had. Despite his years, Jon has 20 years’ carp fishing experience and was diligent and meticulous in his approach. He spent most of the day on Sunday studying the water and explained that he only started fishing seriously on Monday and by Tuesday he had had seven out!. Now that’s what I call good angling. Well done mate, nice work! Shaun has only been carp fishing for a couple of years but with a little assistance from Jon smashed his PB from 21lbs to 37lbs with his first carp. He converted that to a brace of 30’s with a 31lb mirror later in the week and that’s damn good going for someone that hasn’t been fishing long. Although the new stocking has livened up the fishing, I still don’t rate Beausoleil as easy! Dot & Anne-Marie loved the house and grounds and spent many happy hours hunting for the ducks nest and searching for red squirrels. Young Max loved his trip to the Zoo. It was a pleasure to meet them and we look forward to seeing them again later in the year!
