An educational carp fishing holiday for these two novices.
This week we welcomed a father and son from Holland that have recently started carp fishing. Although they fish regularly back home, by their own admission, Beausoleil was a big step up for them. If you’re used to doing day sessions for carp and catching multiple carp most trips, then Beausoleil is going to be a real shock to the system.
Fortunately Theo and Marteen were open about their lack of experience and happy to receive a little extra help. Theo was thirsty for knowledge and fascinated by the strategies, techniques and tactics I employ when chasing carp. They may have only caught three fish but they were all far larger than any carp they’d ever seen on the bank. To be fair, considering the fact that they didn’t start fishing until 10am and never fished into darkness, they caught some good sized carp. They return to Holland better anglers than they did when they arrived and we wish them all the best with their fishing.
