Few carp anglers have the time to come to France purely for fishing. Sometimes, the fishing needs to be combined with a family holiday so that everyone can enjoy some precious time away. When other family members are also into carp fishing, then what better way than come all together to France to enjoy the fishing experience of a lifetime.

  • Beautiful, mature 4 acre tree lined lake
  • Exclusive bookings with luxury gite
  • Interesting features in each swim
  • Stunning carp to 48lbs and powerful catfish to 100lbs+

The perfect accommodation for your family holiday

At Beausoleil, anglers and their families have the sole use of the lake and accommodation for their holiday with no disruption from other anglers, a bailiff or the owners. The quality on-site accommodation is perfect for a night’s rest from the fishing or for partners or family members who don’t fish. The house is just a short walk away from the lake and sleeps four people in two twin bedrooms. Bed linen is provided.

The kitchen and dining area all have mod-cons and of course all the cutlery and associated utensils. You do not need to bring anything. There is also a games room with a full size pool table to enjoy some playful downtime. The house also has great WIFI so guests can stream videos and easily stay in touch with family and friends back home.

A unique fishing experience

Beausoleil is the perfect French venue to bring partners, family or non angling friends without compromising the quality of the fishing or the holiday experience for everyone. This is a thinking angler’s water where the carp aren’t easy to catch and each capture is the reward of your efforts and tactics. The catfish fight like warriors and will provide an unbelievable fishing experience for a lake of this size.

At four acres and with large swims all around the lake, the venue is suitable for a maximum of four anglers. The lake bottom is full of features to target and the best ways to find them are to wade in the margins or use the prodding stick from the boat. You’ll need to fish accurately and bait carefully. Starting the session with small carefully traps is always a good strategy.

Memorable fishing holidays with the family

What attracts anglers to Beausoleil is that you can come away with your family, enjoy the lake and accommodation exclusively in peaceful surroundings, and fish for stunning specimen carp and catfish in a beautiful estate lake. This is exactly what why these families have chosen Beausoleil.

Andy and his dad

We’ve seen plenty of father and sons teams on the bank of Beausoleil and recently, it was Andy’s turn to introduce his dad to the wonderful world of Beausoleil. It’s amazing to see how Colin has taken to the sport later in life, he even has his own Beausoleil tee-shirt now! Obviously having a son like Andy to guide him every step of the way is a massive edge but it takes a special type of father that can listen, follow and then apply what his son says. He doesn’t mind what size of fish he catches but he really appreciates the quality of the stock we have and he has caught some great looking specimens.

Max and family

Father Jon and son Max came with wife Stacy and girlfriend Olivia for their first proper family fishing trip in 2018 and had a session of a lifetime. Max, a devotee of the Beausoleil method, was responsible for all the rods, dad was always on hand to drop rigs, play and land fish and whenever they had to leave their rods, they left detailed instructions to Stacy and Olivia in case one roared off… which it did several times! They fished phenomenally well together and it was a testament to what a tight knit family these guys are.

Colin and family

Colin, his wife Hazel, sister Julie and her husband Simon have been to Beausoleil a couple of times and love fishing together here. Fishing as a group of 4 from the same swim is very rarely successful but they had a perfect plan. Never fishing more than 6 rods at a time and spreading them well into a variety of sections of the lake, they were able to share all the experiences together. With Colin and Simon in charge of the setup bankside, it was up to Hazel and Julie to take care of things in the water: finding features and topping the spots with bait. They liked it so much that by the end of the week, they just enjoyed rowing round the lake for the fun of it!
