How to fish from the Island Point swim
The Island Point swim provides multiple options with some access to open water and loads of island margin to go at. This is a productive swim and gets fished quite regularly. You can make some excellent catches from this swim. A bait boat is very useful here to drop rigs underneath the overhanging trees.
The swim at a glance:
Location: Southern margin, opposite the point of the island, depths: 3 to 5.5 ft
Main features: Tree lined margins and island point gravel bar
The island point right in front of the swim is a popular place for a rig and produces fish regularly.
The island margin to the left of the swim is very productive. Spread bait along the margin to force the carp to move from bait to bait.
