5 July 2014 – Catch report from: Lewis, Holly, Simon & Nick

Our big carp, massive catfish and well presented accommodation keep Beausoleil regulars returning year after year to this special carp fishing venue.

This week we welcomed back a group of guys (and one girl), that have been coming to the lake for the last six years. They love the place so much, they even honeymooned here! For them the fishing is a bonus and the main attraction is getting away from their busy lives and immersing themselves in total tranquillity and in the nature around them. After a few quiet days, they’ve sufficiently recharged their batteries, and the fishing can begin in earnest. They love their cat fishing and this year banked three big catfish well over the 80lb mark including our 4th 90lb+ for the year already. Nick managed to stalk a real jewel of a carp from a quiet corner of the lake. At 40lbs this is the third different forty from the lake this year. Fishing is just one of the many activities Lewis and his friends enjoy at Beausoleil and each year they come up with that little something extra to keep themselves entertained. This year it was painting and each member of the group was tasked to produce a piece of artwork to celebrate the week. It was an absolute delight as always to welcome them to the venue and we look forward to seeing them in 2015. Thanks for sharing your artistic efforts with us!
